Thanks for including the Oakworth House gardens and grotto; I hope it will encourage more visitors, and a greater exploration of the history of the site.
Best wishes
Christine Edmonds
Thanks, Christine, and Welcomne to the Club! Keep an eye open for future developments and content. Regards, Claude
Hi, I currently work on the Rivington Terraced Gardens in which the cascade and bridges are situated. The Japanese style lake that is above the cascade was also constructed by pulham, along with three Japanese Pagodas and lanterns from the Pulham cataloge. sadly these have been removed.
Just a correction for your Gazzetta the date of the cascade and lake are 1922 not 1903 and are situated in the Terraced Gardens not Lever Park.
Kind regards
Liam.
Thank you very much for the information, Liam. I think it is wonderful that such a significant example of the Pulhams’ work is being restored like this, and I really look forward to seeing pictures of it when it has been completed. Good luck with your wok, and Very Best Wishes,
Claude
